Danish Red Cross to Provide $3 Million Assistance for Kunar Earthquake Victims

Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, met with Ms. Neus, Head of Mental Health Programs at the Danish Red Cross in Afghanistan, to discuss providing humanitarian aid and support for earthquake-affected communities in Kunar.
During the meeting, Mr. Delawar highlighted ARCS’s ongoing efforts for 1,000 earthquake-affected families in Kunar, which include the provision of temporary shelters, health services, hot meals distribution, safe drinking water, electricity, and other essential daily facilities. He further outlined the organization’s mental health services across mental health centers in Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Mazar-e-Sharif, and Nangarhar, calling for strengthened cooperation in this field. 
Ms. Neus pledged $3 million in humanitarian assistance to support the earthquake-affected people of Kunar. She also assured continued support for the treatment and care of mental health patients in partnership with the ARCS.
