Disaster Management is one of the most important section of the Afghan Red Crescent Society which provides assistance to victims of natural and man-made disasters across the country.
Preparing to resist disaster:
Identification of disaster-prone areas, training, capacity building & educate of staff and volunteers, raising public awareness to prevent further damage. Coordinate with relevant communities to provide effective services.
During disaster emergencies:
The disaster management of this society is responding to the incident in a timely manner and is working to save the lives of the victims.
In different times several teams of staff and volunteers are sent to the area, and assistance is provided to the victims.
The purpose of establishing this section in the national society is to strengthen the relationship between the families of the missing, prisoners and IDPs.
