The Acting General President of ARCS Meets the Director-General of ICRC!

Today, Saturday, the 15th of February, Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the Acting General President of ARCS, Hafiz Aziz Ul Rahman, the Vice-president, held a meeting with Mr. Pierre Krähenbühl, the Director-General of ICRC, Ms. Katrina Ritz, the Head of ICRC in Afghanistan to deliberate on the expansion of coordination and joint efforts between ARCS and ICRC.
During the meeting, the Acting General President besides welcoming the delegation appreciated the unwavering support and assistance of ICRC in joint humanitarian efforts. Also, he provided an overview of the current economic situation of the country, ongoing developmental projects, accomplishments, and the humanitarian activities and services of ARCS.
Moreover, Mr. Delawar emphasized the nation’s emergence from hardships and instability, underscored the pivotal moment for international humanitarian organizations to support afflicted Afghan people. He assured that ARCS has transparently and without discrimination delivered the Aid of partner organizations to needy and impoverished people. Additionally, he solicited the delegation for further assistance and support of Afghan people.
In turn, Mr. Krähenbühl in his remarks besides appreciating the impactful efforts of ARCS, added that Afghans have faced numerous challenges throughout the history and supporting them is the responsibility and duty of ICRC. 
Further, he pledged to continue and expand bilateral efforts between both sides and sustain supporting ARCS.
