Returnees and Basic Needs: Emergency Assistance Provided to 1,000 Families in Badghis

Under the directive of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, and with the support of the Turkish Red Crescent, AFAD, and IHH, humanitarian assistance consisting of 12 different food and non-food items was provided to 1,000 repatriated families in Badghis Province, including the provincial center and the districts of Bala Murghab and Ghormach.
Each family received food items including 50 kg of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 10 kg of rice, 10 kg of chickpeas, 10 kg of lentils, 5 kg of sugar, 5 kg of macaroni, and 1 kg of tomato paste. Non-food items included 1 blanket, 1 bottle of dishwashing liquid, and 1 hygiene kit.
It is expected that this assistance will effectively help meet the short-term food and non-food needs of the repatriated families.
