A team of 30 trained volunteers specializing in geology from the ARCS Youth and Volunteers Department was dispatched to the Chihil Sutun mountain area in District 7 of Kabul to assess the situation of families at risk of a potential landslide caused by a crack that has appeared in the area.

During the assessment, the volunteers collected necessary information on the condition of the area, the number and situation of families at risk, and the potential impact of a possible landslide.

The team also gathered information on preparedness and preventive measures to be taken before a potential incident, necessary actions during the incident, and activities to be carried out afterward.

The collected information will be shared with the relevant authorities so that, based on the assessment, necessary follow-up measures can be planned and appropriate decisions can be made.
