Two-Day Workshop on Effective Dissemination During Emergencies Commences

A two-day training workshop on news writing and videos recording during emergency situations has commenced for Information and Dissemination officers of the ARCS from regional zones and provincial branches. The workshop was inaugurated in the presence the Society’s Vice President, Hafiz Azizur Rahman, and the Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Vice President welcomed the participants and emphasized that dissemination officers must professionally collect, organize, and share information during emergencies to ensure the organization’s activities are clearly and effectively reflected to the public and relevant institutions.
Meanwhile, the Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs underscored the importance of accurate and reliable reporting, describing it as one of the core responsibilities of the ARCS. He emphasized that provincial Dissemination Officers should strictly follow safety principles, professional standards, and necessary coordination while covering emergencies, noting that accurate information enhances public trust and strengthens coordination of humanitarian assistance.
Throughout the two-day workshop, participants will receive comprehensive professional training in news writing, photography, video recording, and key elements of emergency coverage.
