Kabul: Two-Day Workshop on Health Service Evaluation and Planning Launched

A two-day workshop on health service review and planning was launched for 25 staff members at the ARCS central headquarters.
In addition to the central headquarters, health department representatives from the Paktia, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Herat, Balkh, and Kunduz regional offices participated in the workshop.
During the opening session, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salam, Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs of the ARCS, emphasized the importance of systematic evaluation and effective planning of health services. He said that such activities help make health services more organized, standardized, and effective across different regions according to people’s needs, ensuring that vulnerable families receive essential services on time.
Dr. Iftikhar Ali, representative of the Norwegian Red Cross in Afghanistan, described the workshop’s goal as improving the quality of health services and developing practical and sustainable plans based on local needs. He added that cooperation with the ARCS will continue.
Participants will receive training on evaluating health services, identifying challenges, and developing practical plans. They will also share regional priorities and existing challenges, and necessary decisions will be made to address them.
The workshop is being held with financial support from the Norwegian Red Cross.
