Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, met in his office with Mr. Fabrice Vandeputte, Regional Director of the Danish Red Cross (DRC) for Asia and Europe, and Mr. Mohammad Al-Shamma, Head of the DRC in Afghanistan.

The meeting focused on the treatment of mental health patients, the challenges faced by internally displaced families, and people affected by recent rainfall, as well as ways to support them.

Mr. Delawar expressed his gratitude to the Danish Red Cross for its support in treating mental health patients and assisting earthquake-affected families in Kunar Province. He emphasized the important role of the organization in supporting vulnerable households and noted that many families have been displaced due to recent rainfall and ongoing conflicts, creating a need for extensive humanitarian assistance. He also requested the Danish Red Cross to provide the necessary aid to these families.

Mr. Vandeputte praised the rapid and timely services of ARCS to affected communities during emergencies and confirmed that assistance would be provided to 400 internally displaced families in Paktika Province. He also pledged to support vocational training programs for newly displaced women in ARCS Marastoons. In addition, he committed to assisting in the reconstruction of mental health treatment centers in Kabul, Herat, Nangarhar, and Balkh provinces, and assured that the Danish Red Cross would continue its cooperation with ARCS.
