Northern Zone Earthquake: Red Cross Society of China Hands Over USD 100,000 in Financial Aid to ARCS

Mr. Bao Xuhui, Deputy Head of Mission at the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan, formally handed over USD 100,000 in cash assistance to Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS. This generous contribution from the Red Cross Society of China aims to alleviate the suffering of families affected by the recent earthquake in Samangan and Balkh provinces.
During the handover ceremony, Mr. Azizur Rahman expressed his deep gratitude for the enduring humanitarian partnership between China and Afghanistan. He assured the delegation that the assistance would be delivered with full transparency to the deserving communities.
In his remarks, the Deputy Chinese Ambassador commended the ARCS for its humanitarian services, underscored the pivotal role these efforts play in supporting destitute Afghans, and pledged to expand their cooperation.
