Kabul: Two Memoranda of Understanding Signed to Expand Healthcare Services and Build the Capacity of Youth and Volunteers

Two Memoranda of Understanding were signed between the ARCS, the Oslo Center of Norway, and the Muslim World League (Rabita Al-Alami Al-Islami) to strengthen cooperation in the areas of healthcare services and capacity building for youth and volunteers.
Under one Memorandum of Understanding, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Dalawar, General President of the ARCS, and Finn Jarle Rode, Executive Director of the Oslo Center of Norway, agreed to cooperate in strengthening healthcare services. Under the second Memorandum of Understanding, the General President of the ARCS, Saad, Deputy of the Muslim World League, and the Executive Director of the Oslo Center agreed to cooperate in building the capacity of youth and volunteers and strengthening and empowering their services.
During the signing ceremony, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Dalawar provided information about the humanitarian and healthcare services of the ARCS. He said that the organization provides services in the treatment of mental health patients, heart surgeries for children with congenital heart defects through its Cardiac Hospital, and other healthcare areas.
He also shared information about vocational training programs aimed at supporting and enabling self-reliance among women without guardians in seven regional zones of the ARCS, assistance to returning refugees and families affected by disasters, and the provision of healthcare services throughout the country through fixed health clinics and mobile teams.
Mr. Dalawar said that any support from international partners is important in assisting people in need and expanding humanitarian services, particularly in expanding the treatment and surgical services for children with congenital heart defects and other healthcare services.
Mr. Rode and Mr. Saad praised the humanitarian services of the ARCS and assured that they would continue their efforts to further cooperate with the organization and mobilize greater international support for its activities.
In addition to signing the Memoranda of Understanding, the General President of the ARCS, the Executive Director of the Oslo Center, and the Deputy of the Muslim World League also visited various departments of the Cardiac Hospital.
It is worth noting that Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Dalawar, General President of the ARCS, also held an online meeting with Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League. Mr. Dalawar shared information with him about the activities of the ARCS and the Cardiac Hospital. Dr. Al-Issa praised the efforts of the leadership of the ARCS and described the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding as a new avenue for relations and cooperation. He added that practical cooperation would be pursued in the future.
