During the opening ceremony, Hafiz Shabir Ahmad Usmani, Director of the Finance Department, highlighted the importance of sound financial management from an Islamic perspective. He stated that commitment, integrity, and professionalism are the foundations of every successful and effective organization. Referring to the life of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him), he noted that Prophet Yusuf was entrusted with the responsibility of managing financial affairs because of his competence, trustworthiness, and honesty.
He also emphasized the importance of strengthening academic and professional skills, noting that learning is the foundation of both individual and institutional development and plays a vital role in promoting transparency, efficiency, and responsible financial management. He encouraged participants to make the most of this training opportunity and further enhance their academic and professional competencies.
Throughout the six-day workshop, participants will receive both theoretical and practical training in financial accounting, financial management, financial reporting, budgeting, transparency, and financial coordination with partners.
Upon completion of the workshop, participants are expected to have strengthened their professional competencies, contributing to improved financial management, greater accountability, and enhanced transparency.
