Through the efforts of the ARCS and with financial support from Friedensdorf International (Peace Village International), 46 sick children who had been sent to Germany for treatment of severe burns and bone infections have returned to the country after completing their treatment. Meanwhile, 79 other sick children have been sent to Germany to receive further specialized medical care.

At a ceremony held at Kabul Airport on this occasion, ARCS Vice President Hafiz Azizur Rahman expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and support of Peace Village International and described the treatment of these children as an important humanitarian initiative.

He expressed happiness over the return of the 46 children following the completion of their treatment and wished the children sent to Germany a speedy recovery and full restoration of their health.

Speaking at a ceremony held to mark the return of the children, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, thanked Peace Village International for its comprehensive cooperation and support.

He said that, so far, around 5,030 children suffering from bone infections or severe burns have received treatment in Germany. He added that 153 sick children, including those recently sent to Germany, are currently undergoing treatment there.

The ARCS General President congratulated the families of the recovered children on their children's improved health and wished the remaining patients a speedy and complete recovery.

Jen Jessen, a representative of Peace Village International, expressed happiness over the return of the 46 children after completing their treatment and assured those present that the treatment of the newly transferred children in Germany would proceed smoothly.

He described the cooperation between the ARCS and Peace Village International in providing treatment to sick Afghan children as effective, adding that this process would be difficult to continue without the ARCS's cooperation.

It is worth noting that, when the children were handed over to their families, they were also provided with some cash assistance and medicines.

Through its humanitarian and healthcare programs, the ARCS supports needy families in obtaining treatment for their sick children. With the support of its international partners, the Society also facilitates specialized treatment abroad for children whose medical needs cannot be adequately met within the country.
