Towards Self-Reliance: 1.5 Million Afghanis Provided to 50 Female-Headed Households in Kunduz

Monday, February 16, 2026

The ARCS, with support from the British Red Cross, provided 1.5 million Afghanis in cash assistance to 50 female-headed and vulnerable households in Kunduz Province to support small businesses and promote self-reliance.
This assistance was distributed as part of the second phase, with each household receiving 30,000 Afghanis to help improve their economic situation.
It is expected that this assistance will provide these households with a sustainable source of income and reduce their dependence on others.
It is worth noting that, in the first phase, 650,000 Afghanis had already been distributed to these families.
