A one-day public awareness workshop on water and electricity conservation and the prevention of waste was held by the Ministry of Water and Energy at the central headquarters of the ARCS.

During the workshop, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Ahmad Noor Hanif, Head of the Da’wah and Guidance Department of the ARCS, said in his speech that Islam recommends moderation in all aspects of life. He emphasized that waste should be avoided in all matters and that consumption should be limited to actual needs.

He added that using resources according to need is essential under Islamic principles, and that unnecessary consumption not only causes economic harm but is also considered contrary to Islamic teachings. He described water and electricity as great blessings from Allah and said that protecting and conserving these resources is the responsibility of every Muslim.

Participants at the workshop were provided with comprehensive information on the value of water and energy, the negative impacts of wasteful consumption, practical ways to conserve resources, and effective energy management.
