On behalf of the ARCS, cooperation agreements were signed between the ARCS Under-Secretary General of Operational Affairs, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salam, and representatives of 11 organizations to facilitate the implementation of a four-month program addressing moderate acute malnutrition.

Under these agreements, the organizations will support the implementation of the four-month moderate acute malnutrition program in 32 basic and sub-health centers affiliated with the ARCS across 11 provinces: Kabul, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Bamyan, Daikundi, Kapisa, and Panjshir.

The organizations participating in the implementation of the program are MOVE, HNTPO, CAF, SAF, OCED, OPHCD, AKHS, AADA, ATOA, YAAR, and BARAN.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Abdul Salam said that the organization’s primary objective, as part of its humanitarian services, is to support poor, needy, and vulnerable families and to promptly respond to their needs.

He described the signing of these agreements as an important step toward reducing the suffering and hardships faced by families in need and expressed hope that these partnerships would help effectively address the needs of families facing difficulties.

The program will be implemented through the ARCS in 32 basic and sub-health centers across the 11 provinces and will provide essential services to children affected by malnutrition and families in need.

The ARCS strives to expand access to health and nutrition services for children affected by malnutrition and families in need and to reduce the harmful effects caused by malnutrition.
