Kabul: AFN 3.465 Million in Cash Assistance Distributed to 231 Returnee Families to Start Small Businesses

The ARCS distributed AFN 3.465 million in cash assistance to 231 returnee families in Districts 12 and 21 of Kabul city during the second phase of a program aimed at helping them start and strengthen small businesses.

The assistance was provided by the IFRC, with each family receiving AFN 15,000 to purchase the necessary items and equipment based on their livelihood needs and strengthen their small businesses.

To facilitate the purchasing process, one volunteer was assigned for every 10 families to assist and coordinate with them in purchasing the required items and equipment.

The cash assistance was provided to support the self-reliance of returnee families and help them establish sustainable sources of income. Through this assistance, the families will be able to start or expand small businesses based on their needs and capacities.
