Coordination Meeting Convened with International Partners to Provide Emergency Assistance to Kunar Earthquake Victims

In the wake of the recent devastating earthquake in Kunar province, a coordination meeting was convened to coordinate the provision of emergency humanitarian assistance to affected communities. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, President of the ARCS; Ms. Katrina Ritz, Head of Delegation of the ICRC in Afghanistan; Mr. Joy Singhal, Head of Delegation of the IFRC in Afghanistan; Ms. Huma Nader, Deputy Head of the IFRC Delegation; and their accompanying teams.
Mr. Delawar expressed his appreciation to the international partners, particularly the ICRC and IFRC and called for the expansion of humanitarian assistance.
In their remarks, Ms. Ritz and Mr. Singhal commended ARCS for its frontline services to affected communities and affirmed their commitment to supporting earthquake victims.
