Kabul: Rehabilitated Facility and Solar Power System Inaugurated at the Central Marastoon with Support from Turkish Red Crescent

ARCS has inaugurated the rehabilitated central Marastoon in Kabul, along with nine auxiliary facilities and a newly installed solar energy system, funded by the Turkish Red Crescent. The inaugural ceremony was attended by ARCS President Sheikh Ul Shahabuddin Delawar, Ambassador of Türkiye to Afghanistan, Mr. Cenk Ünal, and Head of the Turkish Red Crescent in Afghanistan, Mr. Naeemullah Karimi.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Delawar described Afghanistan-Türkiye relations as historic and profoundly impactful, rooted in Islamic brotherhood. He expressed sincere appreciation to the Turkish Red Crescent for its support in renovating six residential units, laundry facility, restrooms, and a kitchen, in addition to the installation of a 6-kilowatt solar power system at the central Marastoon. He further noted that Türkiye has consistently extended support to ARCS during the periods of acute need. 
In turn, Ambassador Ünal and Mr. Karimi commended the ARCS for its humanitarian efforts and pledged the continuation of their assistance. Mr. Ünal additionally announced that the 21st humanitarian train, carrying 700 metric tons of food and non-food supplies, is scheduled toړ arrive in Afghanistan shortly, providing timely relief to vulnerable and affected communities.
It is noteworthy that the Turkish Red Crescent has previously collaborated with ARCS across various sectors, playing a pivotal role in alleviating the hardships of disaster-affected communities.
