Kabul: ARCS General President Discusses Expansion of Humanitarian Cooperation with New Head of ICRC in Afghanistan

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, together with Vice President Hafiz Azizur Rahman, held a meeting at the central headquarters with Johannes Brouwer, the new Head of the ICRC Delegation in Afghanistan, to discuss humanitarian cooperation and the expansion of relations between the two organizations.

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar thanked the ICRC for its continued cooperation and stated that the ARCS hopes humanitarian cooperation between the two organizations will further expand and become more effective.

He also thanked the former Head of the ICRC Delegation in Afghanistan, Katharina Ritz, for her cooperation and humanitarian services, and described the arrival of the new head, Johannes Brouwer, as important for further strengthening cooperation between the two organizations.

The new Head of the ICRC Delegation in Afghanistan, Johannes Brouwer, praised the humanitarian activities of the ARCS and emphasized the continuation of joint humanitarian services.

He added that the ICRC will continue its cooperation with the ARCS in the field of humanitarian services and assistance.
