A three-day partnership meeting hosted by the ARCS began in Doha. The meeting is attended by national associations from many countries, including partners of the Afghan Red Crescent.

Maulvi Matiul Haq Khalis, Acting president of the ARCS spoke in detail about the activities, plans and related issues of the ARCS. Alexander, the head of the Asia-Pacific region, and Elva, the head of the ICRC for Afghanistan, spoke on behalf of the Afghan Red Crescent.

At the meeting donors asked questions from the leadership of the ARCS and also asked for more clarification on some issues, which were answered appropriately, reasonably and satisfactorily by the ARCS leadership. The meeting is still going on and will last up to three days.
