Wednesday, October 14, 2026
Twenty patients have returned to their homes after completing treatment and recovering at the ARCS Mental Health Care and Treatment Center in Kandahar.
The ARCS provided each patient with AFN 5,000 to cover transportation expenses and facilitate their return home.
Currently, 172 male and female patients are receiving treatment at the center, where they are provided with the necessary healthcare services.
In the center’s previous 13 treatment cycles, a total of 471 patients with mental health conditions have completed treatment, recovered, and returned to their families.
The ARCS operates mental health care and treatment centers in six regional zones across the country: Kabul, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Balkh, Herat, and Kunduz. These centers provide treatment and healthcare services to people with mental health conditions.
