Essential Facilities Have Been Provided to the Returning Refugees at Anzhergai Camp in Kandahar Province!

As per the directive of the leadership of ARCS, a delegation from the HQ comprising Sheikh Mawlawi Sayed Ahmad Bahramand, the Director of Marastons, and Mullah Saleh Akhundzada, Director of Disaster Management, conducted a visit to the Anzhergai refugee camp in Takht-e-Pul, Kandahar Province.
After assessing the conditions, challenges, and needs of the repatriated refugees, they provided essential facilities including emergency services to the returnees.
In response to the needs of the repatriated refugees, ARCS has set up 100 tents for temporary shelter, distributed 50 fans to alleviate the impacts of hot weather, launched a cash-for-work project with 20 workers aimed at the sanitation of the camp, raising public awareness and helping returnees with transportation tasks. Further, it installed six 1000-liters of water storage tanks to ensure the availability of potable water, initiated the distribution of daily 1000 servings of hot meals to 1000 returnees, and 30 ice packs for providing potable water.
