Comprehensive Support for Returnees in Kapisa: Nearly 96 Tons of Humanitarian Aid Distributed to 1,000 Families

The Vice President of the ARCS, Hafiz Azizur Rahman, distributed 95.5 metric tons of food and non-food assistance, provided by the Turkish Red Crescent, AFAD, and IHH, to 1,000 families who have returned from neighboring countries.
Each family received 50 kg of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 10 kg of chickpeas, 10 kg of lentils, 12 kg of macaroni, 5 kg of sugar, fresh meat, 1.6 kg of tomato paste, six bottles of dishwashing liquid, one hygiene kit, and several other essential items.
The distribution ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the ARCS, the Deputy of the Turkish Red Crescent in Kabul, Ahmed Nas, the Governor of Kapisa Province, Qari Ehsanullah Baryal, his deputy Sheikh-ul-Hadith Asadullah Senan, Hafiz Mohammad Madani, Director of the North-West Central Zone, directors of relevant provincial branches, and representatives from various institutions.
During the event, Hafiz Azizur Rahman welcomed the returning families and expressed hope that they would now live in peace and prosperity in their homeland.
He emphasized that the ARCS remains committed to standing alongside impoverished and disaster-affected communities and will continue making special efforts to support and assist the returnees. The Vice President also expressed confidence that the returnees would overcome the hardships of years spent in displacement and build self-reliant and stable lives in their country.
He assured that all available resources would be fully dedicated to supporting the returnees and that every effort would be made to provide them with necessary services and facilities.
Mr. Baryal praised the ongoing work and dedication of the ARCS in serving refugees and confirmed that, in partnership with the Society, they will work together to ensure continued support and assistance for the returning families.
The goal of this assistance is to address the urgent and basic needs of the returnees.
