Job Description:
1. Aim of the Position
The CBHFA Department operates within the community health framework of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, focusing on volunteer-driven health promotion, first aid, disease prevention, community engagement and community resilience initiatives.
The Head of CBHFA Department is responsible for ensuring effective and timely implementation of CBHFA projects and focuses on operational leadership, close follow-up of field activities, systematic monitoring, high-quality reporting, and strengthening the performance, motivation, and capacity of staff and volunteers.
2. Main Responsibilities and Qualifications
A. Main Responsibilities
•    Lead day-to-day implementation of CBHFA projects in accordance with approved plans and
budgets.
•    Translate project documents into clear operational work plans for branches and field teams.
•            Closely follow up on field-level implementation to address delays and challenges promptly.
•            Provide operational input during proposal development based on field experience.
•            Contribute lessons learned and implementation feedback to improve future project design.
•    Coordinate logistics, procurement follow-up, and operational support as needed.
•    Conduct regular field visits to monitor activity progress and quality of service delivery.
•    Ensure proper use of monitoring tools and data collection systems at branch level.
•    Track project indicators against planned targets and timelines.
•    Identify implementation gaps and take corrective action.
•    Facilitate regular review meetings with field staff and volunteers.
B. Reporting and Documentation
•    Review and consolidate branch-level reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•    Monitor financial expenditure against project budgets in coordination with finance staff.
•    Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and final project reports.
•    Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories from the field.
C. Staff Supervision, Motivation, and Capacity Building
•    Directly supervise CBHFA staff and provide regular performance feedback.
•    Develop capacity-building plans for department staff and volunteers.
•    Conduct planned training, refresher courses, and coaching sessions.
•    Strengthen volunteer engagement, retention, and motivation mechanisms.
•    Support coordination with local health authorities at operational level.
•    Represent the department in coordination meetings when required.

Job Requirements:
.  Education
•    Bachelor’s of MD and Public Health, Plus point Master’s degree of MPH and medical management
B.  Experience
•    Minimum 5–7 years of experience in health project implementation.
•    At least 2–4 years in a supervisory or managerial role in community base project.
•    Strong experience in field-level monitoring and operational management.
•    Speak confidently in English and writing and reading most be excellent level.
