Strategic Plan Process Presented to ARCS Leadership

Mr. John Wenk, IFRC Strategic Planning Consultant, delivered a detailed presentation on the structure and stages of the organization’s upcoming five-year Strategic Plan to Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS; Vice President Hafiz Azizur Rahman; and the Under-Secretary Generals, in the presence of Mr. Hosam Faysal, Head of the IFRC Delegation in Afghanistan.
During the session, Mr. Wenk provided an overview of the ARCS Strategic Plan, which has been developed in collaboration with ARCS staff and based on addressing climate change, health services, migration, and humanitarian assistance during natural and man-made disasters in Afghanistan.
He further noted that a training workshop will soon be held for officials from the central headquarters, regional zones, and provincial branches. This workshop will allow each official to share their perspectives on the challenges faced in their respective areas and the essential services needed, to help formulate an effective and comprehensive Strategic Plan.
At the conclusion, Mr. Delawar expressed his gratitude to the IFRC for its extensive support in preparing the Strategic Plan and added that this plan will help better organize and improve the future humanitarian services of the ARCS.
