Paktika: 3 Million Afghanis Project Launched for Water Management and Economic Support

The ARCS has launched a 3 million Afghanis cash-for-work project in the Mangariti area of Barmal district, Paktika province.

Through this project, 78 people, including 21 skilled and 57 unskilled workers, will be employed for one month. Each skilled worker will receive 800 Afghanis per day, while each unskilled worker will receive 500 Afghanis per day.

The project includes the construction of a 400-meter-long water canal and a water pond measuring 20 by 30 meters.

Upon completion, the project will significantly reduce water-related problems in the area and make water management easier.

The project is being implemented with financial support from the ICRC. Its aim is to provide economic support to people in need through employment and improve the livelihoods of people in the area by providing water facilities.

Through such projects, the ARCS provides economic support to people in need and helps create opportunities to meet their needs.
