A Training Workshop Held on Creating Positive Perceptions Through Storytelling!
Today, Sunday, the 20th of April, a four-day training workshop commenced with the collaboration of ARCS, financial support of ICRC, in the presence of Homa Nader, IFRC Head of Strategic Coordination and Humanitarian Diplomacy for Afghanistan. The workshop aims to strengthen the skills of ARCS Center and provincial dissemination managers, in areas of story writing, structure and attractiveness.
During the inaugural session of the workshop, Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the Acting General President of ARCS, underscored the value of training and capacity-building workshops in dissemination affairs and highlighted the need of urgency and precision in conveying information about the needs of affected people to the world during the time of disaster and crises.
In turn, Mawlawi Mudasir Hamraz, the Director of Information and Dissemination and Spokesperson of ARCS, provided dissemination managers with comprehensive information about the objectives and thematic focus of the workshop. He reminded that using such workshop in right way is the responsibility of each participant.
During the workshop, the participants would be given essential and necessary information about writing human-interest stories, transforming news and reports into narratives, their impact on the audience, conveying messages and creating positive perceptions though storytelling.
