Kabul: Two-Day Training Workshop Begins on Safer Access Communications and Crisis Communications

A two-day training workshop titled “Safer Access Communications Mainstreaming and Crisis Communications Standard Operating Procedures” has begun in Kabul at the initiative of the ARCS Information and Dissemination Department, with financial support from the ICRC.
The workshop is attended by communications officers from the ARCS central headquarters and regional offices, as well as a number of staff members from the Staff Affairs and Safety and Security departments.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salam, Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs of the ARCS, spoke about the importance of communications and the need for responsible conduct when publishing news and reports.
He said that publishing accurate, responsible, and timely information plays an important role in raising public awareness and strengthening public trust. He called on participants to pay particular attention to accuracy and responsibility in their communications work.
Mawlawi Yahya Rahimi, Manager of Communications at the ARCS, also addressed the workshop participants and emphasized the importance of honesty, sincerity, and trustworthiness in humanitarian service.
During the two-day training workshop, participants will receive information and practical training on mainstreaming safer access communications, managing communications during crises, coordination with the Safety and Security and other relevant departments, as well as Standard Operating Procedures for crisis communications.
