The Head of IFRC in Afghanistan, and the delegation from Eastern Regional Zone and Nangarhar Provincial Branch, paid visit to Omari Refugee Camp at Torkham!

Today, Tuesday, the 15th of April, Ahmad Suleiman, the Head of IFRC in Afghanistan, and accompanying delegation paid a visit to Torkham to assess the conditions of repatriated refugees and oversea the humanitarian services being provided by IFRC in collaboration with ARCS.
During the visit, the Head of IFRC commended the services of ARCS mobile health team, as well as the efforts and activities of its volunteers and staff. He pledged to sustain and enhance support with refugees, expand services, and strengthen coordination with ARCS in this regard.
It is noteworthy that prior to this field visit, the Head of IFRC had convened a meeting with Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the Acting General President of ARCS, discussed the challenges and conditions of repatriated refugees. In the meeting, they affirmed IFRC’s commitment keeping in mind the priorities and needs of refugees, that with the cooperation of ARCS they will provide comprehensive support to Refugees .
