Over AFN 22 Million Distributed to 1,300 Repatriated Families in Logar Under the Leadership of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar

During a visit to Logar Province, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, distributed AFN 22,100,000 in cash assistance to 1,300 repatriated families, with the Support of the ICRC, in Pul-e-Alam city as well as the Mohammad Agha, Khoshi, and Baraki Barak districts. Each family received AFN 17,000 in cash support.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Mr. Delawar stated, “Through its humanitarian services, the ARCS strives to provide comprehensive, effective, and sustainable assistance to repatriated refugees, while not only meeting their urgent needs but also helping them restore normal living conditions.”
He added, “The ARCS is fully prepared to provide similar essential and humanitarian assistance to families who are newly returning to the country from neighboring nations.”
At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Delawar called on charitable and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their humanitarian responsibilities by supporting and assisting returning refugees.
The assistance is expected to help meet the daily and urgent needs of the families and reduce some of their basic challenges. It is worth noting that AFN 19.5 million in cash assistance had previously been distributed to the same families.
