ARCS Distributes 267,000 Afghanis in Cash Assistance to 59 Vulnerable Families in Kabul

Kabul – Sunday, June 29, 2025

ARCS has distributed cash assistance totaling 267,000 Afghanis to 59 vulnerable households at the Kabul Central Marastoon, including individuals living in extreme poverty and those engaged in street begging.

Speaking at the distribution event, Mawlawi Sayed Ahamd Bahramand, Director of ARCS Marastoons, underscored the importance of supporting vulnerable and headless families and stressed that this program was executed with full transparency and fairness. He further added that ARCS remains committed to doing everything within its capacity to address the critical needs of vulnerable families.

Under this initiative, families with high number of dependents received 5,000 Afghanis each, medium-sized families received 4,000, and smaller families were given 2,000 Afghanis. Moving forward, this support will continue monthly and be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the eligible families.
