Kabul: Eight VSD Surgeries Performed at the ARCS Cardiac Hospital
Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Eight children with ventricular septal defects (VSD), a hole in the wall separating the heart’s lower chambers, underwent surgery at the ARCS Cardiac Hospital.
Since the hospital began its operations, many children from poor families with congenital heart defects, including VSD, patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), and atrial septal defect (ASD), have received treatment and undergone surgery, and this work continues.
The hospital’s medical team treats more than three children and performs heart surgeries every day. The ARCS covers all costs associated with the children’s treatment and surgery, helping vulnerable families access the healthcare their children need.
The ARCS remains committed to providing treatment and healthcare services to children from poor and vulnerable families.
