Ningarhar province:

On 20th of Aug, ARCS distributed aid provided by Turkish Red Crescent to 300 flood-affected families in Chaparhar and Rodatu districts and nearby areas of Jalal Abad capital in Shikh Misri, Bais Ikmalati and NajmـUlـJihad town in Ningarhar province. The recent floods have caused damaged to hundreds of families in this province; Therefore, Mr. Mawlavi Matiulhaq "khalis" Acting General President of Afghan Red Crescent, visited Ningarhar province. Distribution of the aid to these families is done by Mr. Mawlavi Matiulhaq "khalis", Acting General President of ARCS, & Farid Zia, the head of Turkish Red Crescent in Afghanistan.

Before distribution of aid, while talking to journalists he called on international community not to link humanitarian aid with politics, he said "Afghanistan is currently faced with severe natural disasters and it is necessary that the international community shall help them without any restrictions. Mr. Mawlavi Matiulhaq "khalis" said, "Economical sanctions on Afghanistan have widedn the humanitarian crisis" and it is necessary that the worldshall release the sanctions imposed on Afghanistan as soon as possible; So that humanitarian aid shall be deliver to Afghanistan easily & without hurdles ".

Mr. Mawlavi Matiulhaq "khalis" Acting General President of ARCS assured the flood-affected families that ARCS is always committed to come forward for the help of affectees before others. he said " ARCS has proved that it can reach the affectees and miserable before anyone else, but international sanctions has dulled our quick steps and extensive activities."
