Nangarhar: Turkish Red Crescent Donates Over 24 Tons of Aid to ARCS for Kunar Earthquake Victims

The Turkish Red Crescent delivered 24.325 metric tons of food and non-food assistance to support earthquake-affected families in Kunar province. The aid was handed over to the ARCS at Jalalabad Airport, in the presence of Mawlawi Qamar Gul Nasrat, Head of the ARCS Eastern Zone, and Mawlawi Abdul Latif Sabet, Director of its Kunar branch.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Bilal Emre Biral, Deputy Ambassador of Türkiye in Afghanistan; Mawlawi Azizullah Mustafa, Deputy Governor of Nangarhar; Mr. Naeemullah Karimi, Head of the Turkish Red Crescent in Afghanistan; and Mr. Seyfettin Karabulut, Representative of AFAD (Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Agency).
In his remarks, Mawlawi Nasrat extended profound appreciation to the Turkish Red Crescent and AFAD for their solidarity. He stated, “The aid will alleviate the immediate needs of the disaster victims, ease the crisis, and provide relief in these difficult times.” He further urged international humanitarian organizations not to withhold their humanitarian support from the Afghan people.
The relief package includes 150 tents, 1,050 blankets, 250 hygiene kits, and 3.25 metric tons of food supplies, which will soon be distributed among affected families in Kunar province.
