From Malnutrition to Income: 300 Vulnerable Women Receive Cash Assistance in Paktika

The ARCS, with the support of the ICRC, provided AFN 10,500,000 in cash assistance to 300 women affected by malnutrition in the Gumal district of Paktika province, as part of the fifth and final phase of its support program.
Each woman received AFN 35,000, of which AFN 10,000 was the final installment of the cash assistance, while AFN 25,000 was allocated to support the establishment of small businesses and improve household food security.
It is worth noting that a total of AFN 22.5 million was distributed to these women over five phases, with each woman receiving AFN 75,000 in total.
At the same time, as part of public awareness activities on malnutrition, AFN 596,000 was provided to seven active volunteers in return for five months of service.
