Laghman: Humanitarian Assistance Worth AFN 6.5 Million Provided to 500 Earthquake-Affected Families

The ARCS provided 76.750 metric tons of food assistance to 500 earthquake-affected families in the Saaw and Qala-e-Taki areas of Alingar District, Laghman Province.
The aid, supplied by the Turkish Red Crescent, consisted of 153.5 kilograms of food items per family, including 100 kg of flour, 25 kg of rice, 10 liters of cooking oil, 8 kg of beans, 5 kg of sugar, 1 kg of green tea, 2 kg of salt, and 5 packets of biscuits.
In addition, each family received several non-food items, including 7 bars of bathing soap, 2 bottles of shampoo, 7 bars of laundry soap, 2 water jerrycans, 1 bucket, 1 glass, and other essential household items.
This assistance was provided to help the affected families meet their daily needs and reduce their basic hardships.
It is worth noting that the assistance provided to each family was valued at AFN 13,000, bringing the total value of the aid to AFN 6.5 million.
The ARCS continues its tireless efforts to serve, rescue, and support the people during natural and man-made disasters.
