Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of the ARCS, and Mawlawi Rohullah Abdul Salaam, Under-Secretary General for Operational Affairs, met at the central headquarters with Finn Jarle Rode, Chairman of the Oslo Center, and discussed the expansion of humanitarian cooperation.

During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening health and humanitarian services, expanding cooperation, and providing more effective assistance to people in need.

The ARCS Vice President expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation of the Norwegian Red Cross in the health sector. He noted that although Norway is a small country in terms of area, its humanitarian services are extensive and highly commendable.

He also provided information about the humanitarian activities and health services of the ARCS, stating that the organization delivers services in remote areas of the country where people have, for many years, had limited access to basic services.

He further highlighted the ARCS’s work and future plans in the treatment and care of children with congenital heart defects and patients with mental health conditions, stressing the need to increase cooperation and support to further expand these services.

The Chairman of the Oslo Center praised the humanitarian activities of the ARCS, stating that the continuation and expansion of humanitarian assistance is an important necessity of the time.

He expressed confidence that Norwegian humanitarian foundations and the Norwegian Red Cross will continue their cooperation with the ARCS in the future.

He also pledged to further expand support for the treatment of heart defect patients so that more patients can access medical treatment facilities.
