Kabul: 15-Day Training Workshop Begins on Financial Accounting and Guidelines

A 15-day training workshop titled “Financial Accounting and Financial Guidelines” has begun on the initiative of the Finance Department of the ARCS and with financial support from the Norwegian Red Cross in Afghanistan. The workshop is being attended by 26 finance and revenue officers from the Eastern, North-Western Central, and Southeastern regional offices and their respective branches.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hafiz Shabir Ahmad Usmani, Director of Finance of the ARCS, highlighted the importance of financial management in organizational operations and called on participants to manage their financial affairs in an organized, professional, and transparent way in accordance with the financial system, principles, and relevant guidelines.

He also emphasized addressing challenges that arise in financial affairs and said that serious issues should be shared with the central headquarters so that the necessary measures can be taken.

During the 15-day training workshop, participants will receive information and practical training on strengthening financial management, enhancing accountability capacities, improving their understanding of financial principles and systems, and effectively implementing financial guidelines.

The workshop is expected to strengthen participants’ capacities in financial management and accountability and further enhance their professional skills in implementing financial principles and systems.
