Afghan Red Crescent based on the priority was able to quickly reach the earthquake-affected areas and help the victims in Zinda Jan district of Herat province. Afghan Red Crescent currently has 32 rescue and health teams in the earthquake-affected areas of Zinda Jan district, out of these 32 teams, 5 of them in Kushkak, 5 in Siah Ab, 6 in Naib Rafi and 5 in chaah Azadi area, are operating and providing services. Similarly, out of these 32 teams, 3 medical teams are operating in Kushkak, 3 in Naib Rafi, 3 in Siah Ab,1 in Chah Azadi and one in Ribat Sangi district.ARCS has also established four camps in the earthquake-stricken area, which besides serving as accommodation for affected people, also serve as a base camp for ARCS rescue and health teams, as well as food distribution center.
