Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society visited the earthquake-affected areas in Gayan district of Paktika Province. beside attending the funeral ceremony of the martyr's heirs and tribal elders due to the earthquake, in meeting he also payed

On the 1st of August, Mawlavi Mati Ul Haq "Khalis” Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society visited the earthquake-affected areas in Gayan district of Paktika Province. beside attending the funeral ceremony of the martyr's heirs and tribal elders due to the earthquake, in meeting he also payed attention/heard the problems and needs of the earthquake-affected areas.

Mawlavi Mati Ul Haq "Khalis" Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent, told to the tribal elders that his visit to the area beside attending the funeral ceremony of the martyrs, also providing of long-term and fundamental support to the earthquake-affected families.

He said that, he had continiously shared the information received from the ARCS survey and assessment teams and the needs and problems of the area with the Prime Minister. Likewise, he said “all Muslims are like one body; and necessary the part in body shall be treated that pains; treating of another part is not the solution to the problem, we wishes that you will point out the real hurtful people. Also, he said that I have repeatedly requested the foreigners regarding the aid to the people affected by the earthquake, that the ARCS attempts to deliver assistance transparently to you people.

Mr. Mawlavi Mati Ul Haq Khalis, Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent,  said, "We have come here to end the arbitrariness of aid distribution, so that no one could trade on the nation".

Mr. Mawlavi Muti Ul Haq "Khalis", in response to the request of tribal elders about the fixed health clinic in the area, said that he knows the health needs of the people of area and will try (if required)to take necessary proceedings in treatment of patients according to the needs of the area.

He assured the tribal elders that the ARCS will take basic proceedings in assistance, so that the problems of the people will be solved basically.

In meeting, the tribal elders thanked Mawlavi Mati Ul Haq "Khalis" who helped them first of all and solved thier problems. According to thier speech, "We will not forget the help that the ARCS has given us till death. The Afghan Red Crescent has dried our tears, made us painless and reached out to our homes."

Tribal elders demanded in thier requests that ARCS could make us strong. According to them, "ARCS shall build basic houses to us, temporary or mud houses cannot solve our problem.

The tribal elders said that our "145 mosqueses, and 7 madrassas have been destroyed and 10 schools do not have buildings in Gayan district, which ARCS shall help us in building."

Mr. Mawlavi Mati Ul Haq "Khalis", Acting President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, assured the tribal elders that he will share all their problems and needs directly with the Prime Minister and will take necessary measures.
