Workshop Held on Upcoming Five-Year Strategic Plan for ARCS Officials

ARCS convened a one-day orientation workshop on its forthcoming five-year Strategic Plan for directors and heads of independent departments from its central office.

The session was held in the presence of ARCS Acting General President Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, Vice President Hafiz Azizur Rahman, IFRC Deputy Head in Afghanistan Ahmad Suleiman, and representatives from several partner National Societies.

In his address, Mr. Delawar outlined the core objectives and value of the strategic plan, emphasizing the workshop’s role in enhancing the effectiveness of ARCS programs, optimizing resource use, and strengthening team capacity. He also commended the collaborative efforts of  partner organizations in shaping the new plan.

In response, The IFRC representative reiterated the Federation’s commitment to supporting ARCS with strategic planning through technical cooperation, staff training, and exchange the best practices, experiences, and innovations of other national societies with ARCS.

Following him, the Vice President further underscored the importance of a well-structured strategic plan to improve response to natural and man-made emergencies and ensure better execution of humanitarian operations. He thanked the ICRC, IFRC, and international partners for their continued collaboration in developing the new strategic plan.

Workshop participants received detailed briefings on the plan’s goals, guiding values, impacts, and implementation strategies.
