Qatar Red Crescent Pledges One Million Qatari Riyals to Support Kunar Earthquake Survivors

Hussein Ahmad Botani, Head of the Qatari Red Crescent in Afghanistan, and Mr. Ahmad Usmani, Head of Programs, met with Sheikh Ul Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, General President of the ARCS, to discuss the provision of emergency assistance and expansion of health services to Kunar earthquake survivors. 
During the meeting, Mr. Delawar expressed appreciation for QRC’s sustained support, describing the Qatar as a compassionate and fraternal partner of Afghanistan. He highlighted the urgent needs and challenges faced by earthquake-affected families and appealed for financial assistance to expand healthcare services alongside ongoing humanitarian aid.
Mr. Botani conveyed deep sympathy for the human and financial losses sustained due to the earthquake and shared a message of condolence from the leadership of the Qatar Red Crescent. He added that TRC has allocated one million Qatari Riyals to address the immediate needs of earthquake survivors, including the distribution of essential food and non-food items and the operation of two mobile medical teams for six months. He further pledged additional financial support in the near future.
