Nuristan: 21 Tonnes of Food Assistance Provided to 276 Flood-Affected Families

The ARCS distributed 21 tonnes of food assistance to 276 families affected by recent floods in Parun, the centre of Nuristan Province.

The assistance was provided with financial support from the Turkish Red Crescent. Each family received 76.3 kilograms of food items, including 50 kg of flour, 5 litres of cooking oil, 10 kg of rice, 5 kg of beans, 2 kg of sugar, 2 kg of macaroni, 1 kg of green tea, 800 grams of tomato paste, and 500 grams of biscuits.

The aim of this assistance is to help meet the immediate food needs of flood-affected families and ease the basic hardships they are facing following the disaster.

The strives to deliver timely humanitarian assistance to families affected by natural disasters and meet their basic needs.
